John Webster will be giving the very first series of Kantzer Lectures in Revealed Theology at Trinity this year (September 10-19). Modeled on the famous Gifford Lectures in Natural Theology, the Kantzer lectures will feature prominent theologians who attempt to bridge the gap between theory and practice, between academic theology and practical pastoral relevance. Webster's lectures will examine the relation between God's attributes and His interaction with His creation.
The lectures will be published in book form by Eerdmans. Just as the Gifford lectures have given us so many classics (William James, Albert Schweitzer, Karl Barth, to name just a few), I hope to see the same from the Kantzer lectures.
